Dieffenbachia
An ornamental leafy houseplant native to South America. It can reach a height of 100 - 150 cm. A relatively easy-care bushy plant, indispensable for decorating various interiors. Dieffenbachia is not only a highly decorative plant, but also extremely useful, as it cleans the air of toxins: formaldehyde, xylene, trichlorethylene, benzene.
TEMPERATURE: Moderate 19-21 C, in winter not lower than 15 C.
LIGHTING: prefers light to slightly shaded lighting, preferably avoiding direct sunlight.
WATERING: Abundant in summer, moderate in winter. The soil should not be waterlogged or dry.
AIR HUMIDITY: High, periodic spraying and leaf washing is recommended.
REPRODUCTION: The plant propagates by apical cuttings with 1-2 buds or parts of the stem at a temperature of 20-25 C and high air humidity, as well as rooting of daughter shoots. TRANSFER: At least once every 3-4 years, dieffenbachia is transplanted into not very large pots and ordinary soil for indoor plants, to which you need to add a little charcoal.
